Our Story
Sebastien Lavoie, Founder
La Vie en Bois was founded in 2009 by owner Sebastien Lavoie with a dedication to building high-quality custom cabinetry in the eastern Ontario area. Sebastien has been designing and building custom cabinets for over 12 years from his shop and has built a reputation to providing his customers with high quality cabinets and excellent service.
The company was founded out of pure pleasure and passion for manual woodworking. In its early days, the business consisted of manufacturing outdoor furniture such as Adirondack chairs, benches and tables in a small garage. Since then, the company has expanded its manufacturing into a large shop including nine highly qualified team members, all with the dedication of following Sebastien’s principle of providing excellent workmanship and commitment to customer satisfaction.
